#5 I'm guessing you have only experienced one of the two? Perhaps the humour is a little over your head? The Tree does smell of (hide you children Joeman) semen, it's on Wikipedia (obviously also not family friendly).
Personally I thought it was hilarious especially Vicky's walk, and the references' to the starchiness of Victorian life, classic comedy.:D
