I'm not a mechanic specialist and as I see he is not wearing full gloves I'm worried about the heat it would generate. I wouldn't imagine myself holding two turbines with my bare hands (neither with any kind of protection by the way :P).

Looks to me like the main issue here is the necessity for upper body strength to keep the turbines under control. Wouldn't it make more sense to fix them onto a gear based frame worn as part of the suit?

Several companies are interested in the suit per today, NASA just being one of them. BMW and (strangely enough) Nestle is also on the list of the current bidders of the kickstarter foundation.
