The guy on the bike! What an asshole!
He was slowing down at the merge from what I can see then deliberately accelerated to keep alongside the woman to keep her from merging safely. Then goes and gets a cop!
Hope they gave him a fine for wasting their time and riding like a self righteous prick.

#2. The car driver was definitely in the wrong. The zipper rule is easy to understand and the bike rider clearly had the right of way, the car should have merged behind him. That being said of course, ... zooming off and getting a police car? Yes, the bike rider definitely is a prick; a prick with a head cam, out looking for trouble.

As it turns out, the state of Connecticut is an “early merge” state, meaning you are supposed to move over as soon as you can after seeing signs saying that the lane you are in is going away. There was no sign indicating two lanes are going down to one.
Connecticut DOT is considering the zipper merge for construction zones only. In other merging situations, the DOT feels that traffic would be moving too fast to safely pull off the zipper merge.
The merge in this video was not in a construction zone with orange barrels or cones, so once the woman was in the lead the biker should have let her go instead of being a little bitch about it.

I used to be in class with a kid that at every verse end would put his hand in the air and run to tell the teacher.

#8 I work with people who run to the manager about every little thing, just to get someone in trouble.

Try riding a bike and you can see how dangerous that situation is...If you were riding a car you would just have a scratch from that situation if it went wrong...but with a bike, it could mean your life because you might fall on the other side onto oncoming traffic...Just because one is riding a bike which has a small footprint on the road doesnt mean that you have less right of way...The danger was real...It could mean your life just because someone wasnt paying attention on the road...

Just to defend the biker, i have driven motorcycles in traffic many times, and let me tell you its not fun. People dont respect the bike AT ALL!
Maybe hes a little rude about it. but lets face it, hes most likely really fed up of drivers like that who really CANT drive... and are blind to things around them. If they had an accident, guess who gets hurt!
The car was 100% in the wrong

#9 I didn't actually mean that comment in regard to the biker, but to #8's comment. I still think the biker was in the right. I know many people who are bikers, and I know what a dangerous life they live on the road.
