#3. Natan_el_Tigre – nice work!!

And poor Sux, he just catch a break today.

‘Airport Worker Destroys Jet After Getting Fired’ or

‘It’s likely that the destruction of this plane was a company decision, not a rash act of violence. In fact, a 2015 article in the Moscow Times reported that Russian airline UTair was experiencing financial troubles, and had decided to get rid of nearly half of its planes as a result. The most probable actual explanation is that the video shows what a former UTair Yak-40 getting scrapped.’

Once again details and facts matter Sux. Check before you post. Or just chalk it up again to ‘alternative facts’ and ‘liberal bias’. Or an honest mistake. I suspect it was the latter but the question remains does Sux have it in him to admit it?? What say you Suxy?

"UT Air told us in a statement that they were not responsible for the destruction of the plane. The airline identified the aircraft as a Yak-40 and said that they haven’t used those planes since 2013.
UTair Aviation has not been an operator of the Yak-40 aircraft type for about 3 years. In 2013, upon termination of the lease agreement, aircraft of this type were decommissioned from the airline’s fleet and returned to the owner. UTair is not aware of the further fate of these aircraft."
I would say it is not definite which story is true and it is not up to the submitter to search the web to verify the veracity of videos from YT. It was amusing to watch with the title allocated to it.

#6. sux2bu. It is your history of playing lose with verifiable and empirical evidence and your embrace of ‘alternative facts’ is what sets you up for extra scrutiny and the occasional request for verification. Unfair and a double standard, perhaps, you brought this on yourself. And of course your tendency to turn tail, mutter an ad hominem attack and scurry away when attention is brought to said claims - this only encourages extra attention.

For a supposedly bold strongly opinionated person you really have the thinnest of skin and an unexpectedly high degree of insecurity. Occam’s razor strongly suggests that the Snopes reporting is most likely what happened. Russian airline, in financial troubles etc. etc. . Unless you wish to argue that these are not YAK 40 aircraft NOT TRUE! FAKE IDENTIFICATION! and so Snopes is off base. But rather then admit a perfectly reasonable and understandable and legitimate error you get all defensive and try to call it a wash. Sputter sputter ‘No one really knows’. Sigh. I can see why you are a Trump supporter, you even mimic his discourse patterns! You can’t even walk back something and admit error on something that wasn’t really your fault. What should have been no harm no foul to most is still threatening to you? How interesting. And revealing.

;)#6 Instead of placing that statement below the title "After getting his walking papers and airplane technician uses heavy machinery to rip up a multi-million dollar jet", you could have remained unbiased, because evidently this has not been verified. You're right, it is not your responsibility here to do all the research on topics, but at the same time, it's not necessary to feed into unverified sensationalism just for the sake of stirring it up.
#3 Thanks for the info.

In spite of what the 'real story' is, that's something I've never seen before. I found it very entertaining. Thanks for posting sux2bu.
However, looks like a couple others could use a fresh diaper.

Geez , here is the actual link from YT where I saw it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-rUp2biJwg

I didn't even correct the spelling error in the line under the title (should have been "an" instead of "and";)
because I generally use whatever text is already there. How the f is that biased?

#10 In that case I owe you an apology, because yeah, you just copied and pasted what was already there. However, you have posted and commented so much aggressive material, coming from you personally over the years, that I already assumed this to be the same. I'll be more careful in the future. :)

Interesting debate. To me, it looks more like an airport than a scrapyard. You can see two other similar planes parked alongside the one being destroyed, and at 0:14, a glimpse of many other planes in the background. Could still be a scrapyard, but looks pretty tidy and organised.
The laughing also sounds like it is at something subversive, not simply the routine and sanctioned destruction of scrap.
Snopes says Undetermined. I am going with the original description.

Generally, when you get terminated from an employment, you immediately turn in your badge, keys...what not, you also immediately lose access to the company's computer system, heavy equipment, in this case..etc...that's why I have doubts that this was a former employee.

You guys/girls should stop looking at who is submitting and look at the content instead. There is a lot of bickering and fighting here lately, not gonna mention names, but you know who you are. If you dont like someone, just ignore them, don't engage in trivial small arguments that ruins the mood of the site. The comment sections are becoming rather toxic, which i personally don't appreciate, and keeps me from wanting to engage in the community.

#14 Fair enough MindTrick, have to voice my opinion sometimes, even strongly, but time to stop now. The last thing I want is someone not to want to be here, because of it. Definitely not my intention. :)

Fake.
It's an aeroplane scrapyard.

# 14. MindTrick . As one of the unnamed offenders, and I appreciated your tact in expressing your opinion and politely calling me (and others) out – I agree. You make a good and valuable point. This is a public forum and I do not want to drive people away – just the opposite. I like the opportunity to engage with people here. So, good message received and I will do my part to scale it back.
Respectfully,
Austin

#14 Well said that man.
I found myself in an argument on here and spilling my life out in my own defense to a 28 year old who started on me just because i do not like pizza.
I then sat back and thought what the fuck am i doing explaining my life to someone in an argument who was trying to tell me how wonderful he was and since then a few months have passed and this is my 4th or 3rd post since.

#18. Scotsman 'I come on every day but now no longer or rarely comment'

That is a shame. I wish more people would use this opportunity to express thoughts and opinions even if the potentially (or actual) reply is angry and hostile. This is why we present ourselves avatars, it gives everyone a degree of anonymity and what I would hope is the confidence to take on challenging and aggressive stances, or impolite responses, with some confidence and reassurance that if someone is a complete tw*t – ok.. no need to personalize it or internalize it. It is a safe risk taking space (yes, I can hear the liberal cuck slur about to be released) but squish aside – it is just that, a forum to exchange opinions, thoughts, and ideas. And to reflect on them when challenged. Perhaps that last bit may not be appealing to all. But it is what I feel is lacking in today’s society. Open critical thought and critical self-reflection. I fear to many have lost the confidence to engage in any type of ratiocination and just accept things out of apathy and hopeless and a sense of futility. And that depresses me to be honest.

Couple of hours in the repair shop and a coat of paint, and it'll be ready for flying again. :D

#18 and #19 Both your comments made me very sad, and depressed, because if we don't any longer have a safe place to express our thoughts, ideas and opinions and even critique others, then are we going to end up having shallow, boring, watered down, sugar coated conversations about nothing? Here in the US, I already feel it's going that way in our society, because "God forbid, don't offend anyone".....I'm not trying to butter up anyone, collaborate with anyone, or have a "liberal agenda"...(I really don't)...I just want a place where I can read intelligent comments and make comments that people critically respond to. I have learned so much over the years from being on snotr, from various people having various views challenging my own views. That is one of the main reasons I love snotr, and I hope that won't change. We have enough shallow dialogue everywhere else. To hear that both Scotsman, and Austin have distanced themselves somewhat is very disconcerting...I also don't see kirkelicious here much anymore, but I think he is more interested in science than political talk...anyways, I just hope snotr will continue to be the quality place it always was, and I hope people won't leave or distance themselves from snotr.

I like bantering about here, most folks here are good natured about it, but I agree, sometimes it does drag on.
