Remember IBM who thought "the normal public" never would need Personal Computers?
A certain ass-**** got to be the riches bitch in the world because he saw the potential in a Personal Computer..

i think #3 was on to it but not 100% sure. In minority report, they had the same problems doing this as every other re-incarnation of this idea. The control of such systems have been around for much longer. Its just intuitive to use your hands to control something so that's how they tried to make most things but realised that it would never work. All this is because of one reason. holding your arms up is actually very tiring. On top of being tiring it actually really hurts. any of you people who think the whole word is going to be voice controlled and think that flying cars will be inevitable, for the first time in your life instead of whole heartedly believing ever believer/maker and completely writing off any nay-sayers, try to do this one thing for me. Stand up and point to the wall at a perpendicular angular to yourself. Do this for 2 minutes. When you feel like what it feels like to do it for 2 minutes think about doing it for hours, because this is business software, meaning 9-5 work day, you would have some pretty tank arm by the end of it.

#8 100% agree.. i was going to say same things.. Holding your arms up is very tiring. Unless u r "Karate kid" or his teacher. http://www.bigfunkychicken.com/pctz/KarateKid.jpg
And also it will cost you hell of lot. Seems like u will need at least 2 projectors.
But idea and results are very impressive and amazing.

hmm.. i am not really amazed .. it seems useless like microsoft-surface.
it's very hard for me to see people use this stuff .. it's so pointless.
i guess this would be more like me and the nintendo wii ... with tennis .. at first you through your arm to make the real tennis move .. after a while you find yourself on a couch getting the same results with moving your wrist
cowboy games would be fun though

You guys are missing the point of the entire thing!
This is actually a system developed to let people get a great upper body work out when they are working.
Forget productivity and state-of-the-art technology.

I disagree somewhat, #8. People have been doing repetitive activities with their arms since we got smart and went bipedal. I'd bet that correct posture combined with sensible breaks could make this workable for a single trained individual for at least 5 hours in a normal length working day.

#8 you have some point, but there will be solutions to that. for example, if thats just for the personal computer and just replacing it for the mouse and/or keyboard, simply put the elbows on the table/desk.
tho i agree that the good old keyboard and mouse still are better. the gloves should only be used at certain situations where its more handy to use hands

I like my comfy leather chair, mouse in right hand and if i can be botherd move my arm more than 10cm to type.
Screw that useless crap, the sooner we can plug a usb port into my left buttcheek the better.

Couldn't you just do the same thing on a couple of multipoint touch screens(like the I phone) that didn't involve ridiculously expensive projectors that your average consumer can't afford. As for applications, no company is gonna use this, it = strain injury lawsuit, a laughable waste of money that ignores the most important component, the operator which #8 has shown to have his/her limitations.
