Colours
Emotional moment colour-blind boy puts on his 'miracle' glasses then fights the tears as he sees reds, greens, yellows and blues for the first time
This is the moment a ten-year-old boy was brought to tears after seeing the world in colour for the very first time. Xavier McCoury from Charlotte, North Carolina received a very special early birthday present - a pair of sunglasses that enable him to see the full colour spectrum.

I am colour blind or color blind according to snotr's spell checker (Damm Yankee spell checker). I have the classic red green issue and took the test for these correction glasses but the online result was that they would not work for me! Why I don't know... I have always wondered what I am missing, as when I am out in the country everything still looks wonderful to me, so I remain frustrated has to how much more more wonderful everything actually is.

This is something that I am always wondering, no matter the sense you're missing.
How would it feel to see(colors or in general)/hear for the first time if you have 33y(me) or even 50y of experience of the world. If you could just "erase" a sense or experience, and experience it for the first time.
Just to see how amazing things we kinda take for granted because we've been exposed to the from birth.
And is there something that have not yet to be found out/experience, closest thing I can think is to see the Earth from space for the first time.

#2 & #4.... I'm one of those people that has a condition known as Tetrachromacy...basically it means I see a LOT more colours than the majority of people...around a hundred times more, and I have the ability to 'carry' a colour in memory...very handy when you work in photography and photographic processing. When I come across people who can't see the world as I do it seems strange...and really unfair...I can't imagine what it would be like NOT to see the world as I do...so when I come across something like in this video it kinda hits me quite hard.
The other thing is...Opticians HATE me...'look at the red and green half circles...which is brighter'?
At one Opticians i wen't through all the staff until they called in the senior partner...by then the penny had dropped 'would it help if I told you i had as near perfect colour sight as you can get'?
He just gave a wry nod.....Muy bad ;-)
