I have visited the Library of Congress in DC several times, and enjoyed it each time, it's a beautiful building, inside almost like a European castle...my favorites are the Jefferson Library

and a beautiful mosaic of Minerva, the goddess of wisdom, war, art and education in the main stairwell.
