I've volunteered on the Formula 1 tracks on the tow trucks, and yes you would be in a LOT of trouble if you were responsible for any oil left on the track after towing. We have very absorbent mats that get thrown down under the car being towed if there is an oil leak. Fun times ::P

No one can be held accountable if there engine blows and drops oil all over the track.

One of those "Shit Happens" moments in racing anything with an engine.
