This looks amazing, the future right there. When you see things like this you get a glimpse into the kind of world, that you won't be able to come back to, fifty years after you die, that you wouldn't recognize if you could.
They make excellent speakers too.

Guys, it's just significantly improved induction system. Maybe using rocket science materials for the pan but it's not a rocket science . Cold pan - ok, nice work, can live without that, you need it if the cooktop should be built in a temperature non-resistant materials.
On the other hand, if you really wanted a temperature controlling system with the feedback to the cooktop it should not be so difficult to add even to the current generation of cooktops. The only issue would be correcly placing the thermometer probe. The rest is just a simple control system (doable with arduino in the worst case) to drive the cooker properly.

I bet its gonna be the same as with their really cool suspension (snotr video 16837), a commercial failure...

#7 it may have been a commercial failure for Bose, but electromagnetic suspensions are used in quite a few high end cars today. I believe it started with Cadillac. Instead of the whole suspension, they primarily used it in their shock absorbers, a much more simple and cost effective approach.
