Homo Sapiens wasn't here first, and no matter what we do to it, the planet will live on long after we are all gone.
Ultimately 2 to 3 billion years is what current estimates suggest is left before Earth is finally consumed by a dying Sun.
Make the most of it today folks. That's all there is!

"Albatross.... Albatross"
"Two choc ices please"
"I haven't got any choc ices, just got this Albatross...Albatross"
"What flavour is it"
"It isn't any fecking flavour, it's an Albatross....Albatross"
"Well it must be some flavour"
" Alright alright smart arse it's Albatross flavour, it's fecking seabird fecking flavour....Albatross"
"Do you get wafers with it?"
" Cause you don't get fecking wafers with it, it's a fecking Albatross....Albatross"
I typed the Monty Python sketch above before watching the video. Clearly this no laughing matter. These poor creatures what an awful way to die. As mentioned above I'm sure that they have always eaten objects that were unhealthy but the problem here is obviously the fact that the Albatross spends most of it's life in flight above oceans feeding on the wing and these pieces of shiny colourful plastic are obviously attracting them like the scales on the fish they should be eating. Something must be done!!!

So sad. I agree #6, definitely something must be done. It's also sad, that most people are not interested in making a change, small changes that start in one's own life. I still see tons of people coming out of grocery stores, their shopping carts full, everything packed in plastic bags. If there would be a charge for the bags people would bring their own bags. People only listen when it involves their money. But that's just one small problem. The attraction of birds to something colorful and shiny makes sense, that JJ is suggesting. Maybe changing all plastic caps and other plastics to a inconspicuous color would help. Much research is needed.

#10. In fact quite a lot has changed since charging for plastic bags was introduced. According to The Guardian:
"The number of single-use plastic bags used by shoppers in England has plummeted by more than 85% after the introduction of a 5p charge last October, early figures suggest.
More than 7bn bags were handed out by seven main supermarkets in the year before the charge, but this figure plummeted to slightly more than 500m in the first six months after the charge was introduced, the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) said.
The data is the government’s first official assessment of the impact of the charge, which was introduced to help reduce litter and protect wildlife - and the expected full-year drop of 6bn bags was hailed by ministers as a sign that it is working."
