Another shack further out interrupting the view and having a better view, people walking around and a neighbour three metres away, no not my idea of paradise.

Wow. Such negative comments about the Maldives. I've beeen twice and it felt like the closest to heaven I've ever been.
The sea, the sea life, the sandy beach, the cocktails on the beach you are served while watching a movie at night under the stars.
The incredible restaurants where there are just 5 tables.
The exclusivity is unrivalled. I'd ask my wife, people or no people today. Walk east and you have your own stretch of sea. Walk west and there were small gatherings of people.
This was our honeymoon. We returned a few years later. Travel quite a bit, nothing else compares.
As for the people, they are hard working. Don't see their families for weeks on end while they make money serving tourists. One of the guys made a complex oragami flower for us that must have taken a very long time to put together. It was his goodbye gift and we loved it.

An Islamic State.

Certainly not.
