Egypt, a 21st Century country trapped in the 12th Century Islam.
Hope you spot the difference, as it isn’t Islam, that is the Problem, but the way certain people use it. Do you really think 12th century christian church was any better.
What differs that most of the countries predominantly influenced by christians nowadays allow a very liberal approach to the biblic writings, whereas a lot of the dictatorships that are influenced by the islam need that ruleset to bestow control.
I doubt islam and christian teachings differ that much in its core. What we need is more education in those countries till those young men as in this video aren’t a minority any more and their knowledge cannot be crippled by morons who use religion to stay in control.

When you think that this country was so in advance technologically in the past, that 's kinda sad. Just think about it : at one time in history, Alexandria was the center of the world of philosophy, multiple main religions together buiding an extraordinary community of open minds. They have gone a long way since then.
In this video, they clearly just took the poor guy in for the show, one bad cop one good cop style. The profiling was obvious, he is so sure of him that he is calm and try to convince, it's a very scientific approach. The one that is angry is the host that represent modern society, the bringer of solution and help and the representative of the religion who stays calm. What an image perfectly crafted for the mass media
But that's the same level as some extremist Christians in the US we can see/read about.
Where there is extremism there is stupidity, no matter the subject or the place. Religion is just an easy one to highlight.

...by morons who use religion to stay in control.
The people who use religion to control the masses are not morons. They are extremely shrewd and calculating. The morons are the people who believe them and swallow their ridiculous religious dogmatic drivel.

Indeed. You have highlighted the difference between many nominally secular Christian countries and a large number of theocratic Islamic ones. When the source of your authority, power and control is anchored in religious texts, written in the Bronze Age with a concomitant world view and understanding of how the universe works, then you get this kind of situation. Add in infallibility, righteousness, and legitimacy because of divine origins and /or sanction and it doesn’t make for a terribly good way to run a 21st century government or a modern system of laws, social values, rights, etc that give opportunity, participation and voice to all citizens regardless of sex, race, religion, etc.
Of course the Christian bible is no better or worse than the Qur’an or the Talmud, it is how these works are used and what legitimacy they are given with respect to government and governance. Theocratic states are particularly pernicious in this regard which is why secularism and democratic principles are often denied or outright banned. The West went through a long and turbulent and violent period sorting this relationship out and the battle still rages to this day. One can only hope the less fortunate parts of the world are given a chance to start down this path as well.

#3 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexandria
"Alexandria was founded around a small, ancient Egyptian town c. 331 BC by Alexander the Great. It became an important center of Hellenistic civilization and remained the capital of Ptolemaic (Greek) Egypt and Roman and Byzantine Egypt for almost 1000 years, until the Muslim conquest of Egypt in AD 641"
Im not sure, but i think your history line is flawed.
Seems to me Alexandria was best foothold for conquering Egypt also seems to be a reason why Muslim took capitol in land for lack of the ships and subsequently disadvantage to defend coastal city.
So when you talk about their technological advantage are you talking about times when they build pyramids?
"The last of the great pyramid builders was Pepy II (2278-2184 B.C.), the second king of the sixth dynasty, who came to power as a young boy and ruled for 94 years "
PS: Also lets not forget there is a lot of controversy around who how when and so on around Ancient Egypt and its pyramids.
I sometimes think about gods as corporations as in. When corporation wins a game of monopoly it becomes god.
It's regular propaganda keep the sheep-people in the dark and tell them stories about the light.

The interesting thing about this video is the fear in the presenters hysterical voice when he just realised (and I'm assuming this went out live or at least went out) that likely thousands of young people watching saw a tiny crack in their backward indoctrination/ education about the world, it's beginnings and how religion keeps them under control. Mental illness what a laugh, the crazies in the asylum were on screen but it wasn't the atheist.

#11. bella 'i live in a civilized country with Christian values'
And what 'Christian' values would those be that makes your country so civilized?
Prohibitions against murder, rape, theft, violence, etc are not specifically Christian, in fact the Qur'an and Talmud also state clear rules against all of of these things and more. All religious texts contain a list of does and don't for people to follow.
Other than the standard nasties above what are Christian values that you are referring to?

#15 stork tale time?
German folklore held that storks found babies in caves or marshes and brought them to households in a basket held in their beaks. The babies would be dropped down the chimney of a hopeful mother. Households would notify when they wanted children by placing sweets for the stork on the window sill.
