This is and always has been utter nonsense. Our knowledge of reality has zero bearing on reality itself. Period. This supposes that everything we can't/ haven't seen yet cant conclude until we see it.Every star we see is a light record of something that happened thousands if not millions of years ago. Those things happened and no one was here to see it, yet they did in fact happen. Intellectual crap.
