Staten Island Ferry pigeon's water fountain moment

Commuter helps a thirsty pigeon take a sip of water at ferry terminal drinking fountain. Apprently some pigeons have learned that if they sit on a water fountain long enough somebody will come along and turn the water on for them.

I don't have anything against pigeons.
It's giggling "Oh My God" women that irritate me.

#4. Not too bad at all sex kitten. Just chiiling out in the sun with a cool drink and my laptop, flipping between snotr, The Times, and 'The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared', have you read it?

Not sure how hygienic it is to have a pigeon drinking from a human water water fountain.

#5 Foxy although I've become bored of you generally I have to say that the likelihood of you reading the Times is about the same as me reading the Holy Bible. It's also February in the UK so unless you have ordered your Times in some sunny resort you are also not chilling out in the sun with a cool drink. As usual you are full of bull crap pretending to be someone you are not.

I on the other hand since January the 27th have been in the Galapagos with a team of explorers studying the green sea turtle, here it is very fecking hot but I don't need to pretend that I am reading a grown ups newspaper. <3

#6. I'll take care to type this slowly jakey, so you don't get confused. The Times is available online, via something called the Internet. So I can read it anywhere in the world where there is an Internet connection, which is... anywhere in the world.

As for it being "February in the UK", yep, it's also February in Australia, February in Florida and February in the Algarve, amongst many other places. I realise this is a difficult concept for you to understand. Just try a little harder.

I'll let you get back to your Kitty and Rover book now. :D

Idiots. Pigeons also shite all over the place. Very dirty birds. Why anyone would encourage them to hang out near a drinking fountain is unconscionable.

As long as the pigeon does not touch the spout, everything is dandy.

#9 Come on Thunders you are supposed to be a nurse, what about Histoplasmosis and Trichomoniasis, not to mention flea's.

#7 You didn't need to type slowly Foxy Bingo unless that is your regular speed. I completely understand the facility of reading the Times online, I read it everyday and I did mention the possibility of you not being in the UK as Haven holidays probably have caravans in Magaluf, if you re-read my comment. My point was that the likelihood of you reading the Times while The Sun and Daily Mail are still in production is as likely as me reading the Koran while toasting a pig. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

#10 You completely understand the facility of reading the Times online, and yet... you seem to think the only way to read it when abroad is to have 'ordered it'? Confused really is your middle name isn't it little Jakey?

Amusing to see how anxious you became at the possibility of my soaking up the sun in foreign parts, and yet my original post never mentioned that at all. That tells me a lot about your financial hang-ups, no doubt exacerbated by your meagre income, subsisting on benefits and/or a ppp (piss poor pension).

It must be awfully depressing for you to be huddled up in your ice cold council flat, too skint to drop any money in the meter and with nothing to look forward to this Summer except your annual coach trip to Butlins. :D

#10 I'm not only supposed to be one, I actually am one..:D:D:D.
I'm a little rusty with communicable diseases, but yes, you have a point with histoplasmosis, but not trichmoniasis as it's an STD.
But in all fairness, how much are we actually exposed to organisms, pathogens every day of our life, and we're not even aware, because the offender has already left the crime scene, and we seldom get sick. :D

#11 You are tying yourself in knots as usual Fox giblets. Go back and re read what you made up in your first comment lol.:D:D:D

#12 I know you are a nurse Thunders lol but I think you need to revisit Trichmoniasis and it's relationship with pigeons. 8-)

#13 I revisited, as you requested, however I think you got trichomoniasis and trichinosis mixed up, although trichinosis is not caused by bird droppings. Now it's your turn to revisit. ;):D

#17 Is that another fact I have to go look up, dear JJ :D? You're giving me too much homework these days, but I doubt this is correct, considering the thousands of liters of coffee I have consumed over my lifetime, and the superb shape my brain is in...O:)O:)O:):squirrel::squirrel::squirrel:
