The whole bone structure is wrong for a 4 legged animal/person. If a normal transgression, the hands would be formed differently and the head would be more upright to look forward. I'd say it is their own choice to walk that way. As for the missing link, it is Darwin's THEORY that we developed from apes, a theory that has been widely disputed, and there is no current evidence to show we walked that way 4million years ago.

#1 Several apes and monkeys have a more straightforward head / face than us humans. And even they only support the walk with their arms making the legs do most of the work.

Most of our DNA is dormant and can be read like a history book. Comparing all this with material millions of years ago makes scientists to conclude there is some evidence.

I only liked your comment because this video is next to ridiculous and embarrassing to watch.

This is stupid on a grand scale. This is a birth defect and some mental capacity issues. Instead of addressing there medical issues they just excepted them. This is a typical over dramatized media non-story. I would have expected more from 60 minutes.

At first, I thought I was watching a farce like in the Monty Python's Flying Circus.

Then, I realized these people look like congenital cretins that may have a lack of balancing ability to simply stand and walk upward probably because of some underdeveloped part in their brains.
As they live in a poor rural area, they don't have easy access to a medical facility and probably not even to a doctor. Hence they had to resort to the simplest way to move around without falling at each step.

It reminds me of the wild child case https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wild_Child , which is not the only one in the world. It seems that standing upright is as much a cultural thing than a natural ability.

60 Minutes makes a spectacular scientific case out of what is probably a simple medical case that turned out to be somewhat peculiar given that the subjects look kinda normal otherwise.
