Stossel: Sweden is Not a Socialist Success
Democratic socialists in the United States point to Sweden as a socialist success. But Swedish historian Johan Norberg says, "Sweden is not socialist."
Many people think Sweden is socialist, but its success comes from free markets.

#1 Finally someone who gets it! Much of what's broken with countries, individuals, laws and especially opinions on the internet is based on the false notion that a polarized viewpoint or approach is somehow the correct one and anything in the middle is weakness or compromise.
Capitalism is best applied to markets, economy and corporations.
Socialism is best applied in regard to safety nets for LEGAL citizens and the common good (i.e roads, basic education, etc.)
America is the best example of socialism for the rich. Markets, banks and corporations (courtesy of the Fed and US Gov) receive endless backstops and massive currency give aways, while middle class citizens are thrown overboard and made to bear the tax burden of mega corporations not paying their share. Capitalism has gotten a black eye in the US and many other countries when what's really in effect is corporate socialism. Folks are moving towards socialism because they're tired of being screwed over and left out in the cold by governments who only serve lobbyists and campaign contributors.
As for Democratic Socialism...This is this is one of the worst forms of socialism.
It's 2 Wolves and 1 Sheep voting on what's for dinner.
Truly equitable social safety nets & services can only exist under a representative republic, where politicians are incentivized to seek the common good for their voter base; as opposed to the deeply corrupt campaign finance and legalized bribery we have now.

This user has posted nearly 800 clips here nearly all bashing anything leftish.
Don't know why snotr allows it.

#3 and #5. Not quite sure how examining the Swedish system is bashing the Left. Let's get a grip.
#3 and #5 For the record I did a little more digging than #4 and I found 6 of the last 60 that could be construed as "bashing the left". I'm not a mathematician but I don't think that's even close to "nearly all" as you proclaimed. There's reality and then there's triggered make believe.
Love how #5 complains about who submits what when they haven't even submitted 1 video.
Incessantly complains about sux2bu:
"More cut and paste right wing propaganda from poster sux2bu. He has swamped snotr with 741 pieces of ready made propaganda."
"This user sux2bu has submitted 774 videos to snotr. They are all nasty right wing material. I don't know why snotr allows this kind of incendiary stuff to be posted."
"sux2bu's posts are usually ultra right wing extremist stuff."
"This user has posted nearly 800 clips here nearly all bashing anything leftish."

Capitalism creates the "extra" wealth that allows some Socialism safety net types of programs to exist. Too much of one or the other is not good for average middle class folks. I don't have data to back it up, but I suspect the bigger your middle class the more stable your country might be.
At 10 million people Sweden would be near the 10 largest state in the U.S.
Systems are a bit easier to manage in smaller blocks.

Capitalism = Economic System
Socialism = Political Theory
In other words, this is propaganda; it projects a false duality and attempts to persuade the viewer to pick a “side”. Dividing and conquering aside, was anyone else confused by their taxation presentation? After reviewing the following, I sure am: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taxation_in_Sweden

People who say differently have no idea what they are talking about.
