Paul Harvey first broadcast the "If I Were the Devil" speech in 1965. Through the years, he updated the speech. This version was probably broadcast in the 1990s

If I were the Devil, I would have made an unfiltered and uncensored social media platform with no interference from law and authorities.

If I were the Devil I would have "authorities" regulate and dictate everything - specially social media platforms. >:)

If I were the devil, I would demonstrate to young children that adults have no power over them. Teachers cannot strike them, police cannot discipline them, parents cannot smack them, their happiness and contentment is paramount, social workers must strive to protect them from any distress, no matter how trivial, and they must be convinced that they are the centre of the universe, and their hopes, desires and dreams must always be satisfied.

If I were God. I would show myself and prove once and for all that I do exist and that is it reasonable for people to believe in me, I would clarify which parts of the bible and any other religious books that filters back to me, are actually true and which parts were not really what I meant to say at all but were added by someone who should have known better. I would explain why I need people to praise me and why I don't just get on with my own existence and let everyone on the planet just get on with theirs, which for the vast majority of the time is what I do anyway. I would also explain why even though I have the power to create universes and men out of dust and women out of men's ribs, I allow young children to die of cancer, when obviously I have the power to stop that happening. And why I let some children with cancer get better just because their parents pray to me and let others die because they don't. I would also explain why again as I have complete power over everything I allow people to be raped, murdered and whole area's to be flooded by tsunami and millions of people to starve to death in desert land when I can bring a plague of fish at anytime to feed many thousands of people, when they are a bit hungry as in my bible story (unless that's another bit of crap that didn't happen. If I were God I would be unable to be killed presumably and I guess as I could very easily become 100 feet tall I would go on world television and put to bed all the myths about all the other gods that have been made up over the years, put an end to Scientology and all the other crazy idea's that people live by in my name. I would do much more than this but I think for the first couple of weeks this would be a good start.

If I were the devil, I would ensure that no one had the right to offend others. That tolerance meant being in-tolerate of differing opinions and attitudes. Convince everyone that stealing wealth from the masses via inflation was for the better good. And that interfering in the affairs of other nations was anything but collective selfishness and greed.

#5 They don't sound like the sort of ideals that the Devil would have, are you sure you have completely grasped this concept. :D

Amazing that even in this day and age there are still people that believe in the devil
and god.

If I would be the Devil, I would not worry, being fully aware that I don't exist.

#4 ...nothing personal, but you would make a very silly God JJ. Most of the people would think that you are a promotion for the next marvel movie.
Fortunately you would also make a bad devil. :)
