Makes you wonder what happened to him eight years ago, wife died, retirement. I wonder how many people think he is thumbing a lift. I also wonder if he always buttons up his shirt that way. :)

#4 like what? hoover their homes? wash their cars? do their laundry?

He's a duffer as #2 said. he can't do all that stuff. Waving is his thing.

#5 well.. can't argue for imbecility and indeed waving is his thing, he's doin it 8 years everyday. He probably also helps by acting as a speed limiter of the junction :D
