#3 Yes, true, but that's because they were great people, not because of their religion.

we all had this friend, that is in a relationship that has gone bad. but instead of ending it. they keep breaking up and make up.
every time the group of friends go out, it gets ruined by those two fighting or being emotional. and after a while the other group of friends decide not to call and ask them to come along anymore, because we just want to go out.
we find out that it is way better and days pass by and we kinda forget about those two.
then 10 years later you bump into him, noticing he has crappy cheap clothes. not taking care of himself like he used to. hear him out about he has children from the same girl. got married and divorced. pay lots of child support. court fees. and has a crappy job. with nothing to look forward to.
then he ask with some kind of desperation in his voice, to hang out together because he is missing those golden days.
but all you can remember is his wining bitching, ruining all those evenings.
so you just say you have little time and you shall call him soon. but you never will. you just want to get away from him
and all his bull!@#3@
that how i see that never ending conflict, every time i see about on the news, i just switch the channel, if i see it in the paper, i quickly turn the page. if i hear people talk about it, i would go away, but that never happens because nobody here cares anymore!
it is getting to the point, that we just want to get it over with, we want to move along! just kill each other already or get the f@ck away from there!!

It's very sad that this is still a thing. 2 nearly stone age cultures fighting and killing over who's imaginary friend is the best/real. Imagine sending your sons off to die because 1/2 the country thinks spiderman is better than batman. That is literately was is going on , and one day both will be as laughable as Zeus is now.

Chris Hedges was the New York Time foreign correspondent spending nearly two decades in Central America, West Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and the Balkans - reporting from more than fifty countries.
Hedges contributed to The New York Times staff entry that received the 2002 Pulitzer Prize for Explanatory Reporting for the paper's coverage of global terrorism.
He also received the Amnesty International Global Award for Human Rights Journalism.
He is also a Presbyterian minister and has worked for The Christian Science Monitor.
Here he talks about Gaza. The video was made some years ago.

#6 I hope you see this comment:
#1, While I admire your intentions with your comment, this conflict is not about religion; it never was and never will be. That is similar to saying indigenous lands in the USA were stolen from indigenous nations because of religion.

#7, Good share...Chris Hedges is a very credible journalist. He's spot on when he says this is about ethnic cleansing (creating a singular non secular Jewish state). I admire much of his work to this day.

The sad thing about all this, is that all this hatred, all the people who have died is all about religion. About a belief in a god which is very likely to be all nonsense. The real truth is that we mammals evolved from a single ancestor ALL OF US, just the same as every other creature on this planet. Every idea and decision that came along subsequently was made by people and every war that has evolved from those decisions and ideas are absolutely meaningless. And when we all die, we end. It doesn't matter which side you are are on, which religion you spend your life following we are all going to just stop when we die. So make the most of your life while you have it, don't be greedy for another one, it's not going to happen, be nice to your fellow man, and be remembered for being a good person or coming up with a good idea that helps mankind better itself in some way.
