Man Immobile After Scooter Battery Is Confiscated

A Canadian man said the battery for the scooter he uses to get around was confiscated by airport officials, leaving him immobile and having to crawl on the floor. He said he had all of the proper documentation for the battery when he and his wife arrived at Calgary International Airport.

Could he not have hired a scooter when he arrived at the hotel? Just had a look on line, there are countless mobility hire companies in Tulsa, alternatively they could have got a regular wheelchair and his wife could have pushed him. It's a none story really, unless they hadn't got any finances whatsoever having arrived. :squirrel::squirrel:

So if you pull the battery, it can't be pushed? Batteries are an issue I get that, but seems like there could be a workaround.
They must not travel much or they'd have a system for getting him around.
