He has always like to spout about the "per capita" CO2 footprint with China being 4x the population than the US. But don't the Global Warming religious fanatics say that current CO2 levels are already too high?

IF the current levels are too high, then per capita is a useless measure, isn't it?

China's CO2 is already more than 2x the US and more than the US AND the EU combined. Do we want 4x the current levels to call it "fair".

Since 1990, both China and India have increased their CO2 by over 300%, while the US has increased by 0.4% and the EU has decreased by 20%. We've moved our industries to China, switching CO2 output to China vs. other countries. What did we think would happen? LOL

I heard on the news last night that we are rapidly approaching the climate change point of no return. Well, I wish we would just hurry up and get there, and then we can all move on and turn our attention to other stuff instead. Another bonus is that it would remove that irritating little Greta Iceberg kid from the newspapers. Shouldn't she be in school?

#2 You are right, the west exported many of it's dirty industries to China and that has made things better in the west and worsened things in China.
America has traditionally been the worlds biggest polluter.
However, lately Americans have started referring to China as the "Worlds biggest polluter"
Americans use almost twice the resources as Europeans or Japanese or Chinese.
#3 Point of no return means thermal runaway.
That's what happened to our sister planet Venus with excess of CO2.
Surface temperature there now permanently 600 degrees C.

#4 Thanks Robert. I never realised that Venus was once inhabited and that the Venusians' gross mistreatment of their planet led to the rise of CO2 there, with its inevitable and catastrophic effects on the Venusian climate. It all makes sense now. Did the same thing happen on Mars as well?

The CO2 in Venus' atmosphere came from its volcanoes.
The laws of physics apply to all planets.
The more CO2 in the atmosphere, the hotter it gets.
Average temp on the surface of Venus is 450 °C, that is hotter than your oven fox.
Mars was too small so its gravity could not hold onto its atmosphere forever.
Being small, its iron center has already solidified so it has no magnetic first to deflect the Solar wind which speeds up its loss of atmosphere.
Average surface temperature on Mars today is −63 °C ( −81 °F).
By the way David Koch died, so he is no longer funding the climate change denier industry.

Looking at your figures, I notice that at the moment it's 450 °C on Venus, which is down by 150 °C on five days ago when you said it was permanently 600 °C. That's amazing! at this rate it could be a balmy 28 °C on Venus by the weekend.

Most of the Earths CO2 did indeed come from its volcanoes (along with a lot of other gases). Venus has more volcanoes than any other planet in our solar system - hence the extra CO2 there.

Wallace Smith Broecker did indeed do scientific work on the climate, but he was one of many scientists.
Physicist John Tyndall is commonly credited with discovering the greenhouse effect, which underpins the science of climate change. Starting in 1859, he published a series of studies on the way greenhouse gases including carbon dioxide trapped heat in the Earth's atmosphere.
In the 1960's, Exxon researchers were concerned internally about the problem of greenhouse gases.
In the 1970s everyone internally in Exxon knew it.

In 2008, the Institute made up and published a list purporting to identify "500 Scientists with Documented Doubts of Man-Made Global Warming Scares". When those scientists asked to have their names removes from the list the institute's then president, Joseph Bast, argued that the scientists "have no right—legally or ethically—to demand that their names be removed" from Heartland's list.
It is a despicable "Gun for hire" for the worst corporations operating in the US.
