Brazil is slowly becoming a desert. Climate transformation from 1985 until 2020

Is with pain in my heart that I share this video I created using google earth’s time-lapse feature. These are images of Brazil from 1985 until 2020.

It’s extremely sad to see my country which once was rich in diversity is now slowly becoming a desert because of forest devastation due to illegal logging, cattle, soya production, and other activities.

It’s a problem that comes from decades but the actual government is accelerating it at an incredible speed and I fear that at this pace not much will be left and it will have a huge impact on the ecosystem of Brazil and the whole world.

I would say Brazil is RAPIDLY becoming a desert. Meanwhile, as the world sits by and watches, we in the UK have our lives interupted by Extinction Rebellion fanatics who protest to the wrong people, annoy and hamper the public and businesses, destroy property, but actually do nothing constructive to stop the destruction of our planet.

Because politicians have ignored the environment for decade after decade, the world needs Extinction rebellion.
COP26 in Glasgow is last chance for the planet.
Appealing to politions or corporations is futile.
Boris will sabotage COP26.
That is normally the job of USA, Australia, Saudi Arabia and Japan. (Sinde Kyoto)
The UK could lead the world with Extinction Rebellion.
But Boris' Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill shuts down protest in the UK.
Since Brexit, Boris wants to open a brand new coal mine in Cumbria, recinded the ban on neonicotinoids
and granted new oil drilling licences without constraints .

#1 I disagree. If E R keep quiet then the UK will happily sit by and watch. We need our lives disrupted to wake up...
Thanks for sharing Thunders.
