French invented it in case they got attacked so they could run away even if their phone lines were broken. That's the reason their tanks got 5 backward gears and 1 forward gear in case they were attacked from behind

Very informative and interresting! But still its only a fraction of the whole story .... To accomplish the full history at least a Tv program lasting an hour would be needed - still it would be a generelized overview.
PS: I have not much to say about the french but what happened during the beginning of WW II was not because of cowardness, rather demoralizing effect from fossilized leadership, both political and military. No wonder moral was at a low when the units felt like they where pissed and pooped on.

Great vid. Did not know about those other As an idea the internet is great invention, but what people use it nowadays? Spam (junk mail), porn and criminal activities. Oh yeah! Such a great thing to have internet
And what the sad thing is that everythin is forced to the Net nowadays (bankin and other vital services. Althoug it is a good and convinient way to do things it is also very fragile to data trespasses) and when it finally collapses (if something drastic measures aren't implemented) it is funny (or tragicomical at least) to see what happens to humanity.

#(removed comment) Al Gore invented internet!? Are you serious????? The intervies from 1999 (I believe) - I saw it and for all things in the world I can only say 'coughhogwash!' - Thou he expressed himself a bit clumsy. For me it was clear that he talked about supporting the evolving of internet via various political means etc etc. Just google 'Gore invented internet' and you will find out... or maybe its just democratic party Donkeypropaganda? At least I saw the interview ...
And about the cyclades - well my professor in computerscience told about it. At an US university - but me not yangeeze - me fukin bluuudy euröpean
