#3, I can probably explain...

The design is based on a hit Japanese children's film called My Neighbour Totoro. That's Totoro sat on the top.

The actual contraption is based on the zoetrope (invented in the 1800s to make a series of still images look like they're in motion).

The character in motion in this example of brilliant craftsmanship is in fact the 'catbus' which appears in Totoro.

What makes it particularly striking is the LEDs inside the Catbus.

Hats off to the creator. ;)

#4 to me it looks like CGI. First part with hand opening the lid is real, the rest is computer animation.

Oops, I just realized that I posted the wrong title for this video. 8-) This is the description (not the title) of a totally different video, one that has not been posted yet, where a guy makes a beautiful vase for his sister for Christmas.
The video here has a different title, but I can't remember it. I can't even find the video on YouTube anymore. 8-)8-)8-) Sorry for the mix-up. O:):squirrel:
