Maybe they should try kissing that frog. It may be a princess who had a bad run in with a witch

Well it's effective, the cat does back up when it makes that noise.
#5: you can't really say they're scared, it's just a reflex, they don't have brains evolved enough to process the disturbance.

If you haven't noticed, being scared, or fear, IS A REFLEX!
The very fact that the frog is responding to the threat that the cat imposes, is already a testament of being scared.
And if your brain isn't capable of processing a disturbance then you DON'T FEEL A DISTURBANCE!
Any animal with a central nervous system definetly feels fear, and pain.

I wonder if you could find things that invoke a different level of fear in them and then create a timing frame of presenting the items to them, and when done correctly, you will have a chorus of screaming frogs singing different songs...

#13 I'm reminded when my father was asked to demonstrate the dying howl of rabbits. If you didn't know, rabbits have a secret weapon for scaring off possible predators- in dire need and when a rabbit sees there's no other choice, it will scream a really high-pitch cry. Anyway, when my father, who is a zoologist at our local zoo, was asked to demonstrate that sound on an actual rabbit he replied- no i can't do that but if you'd like i can show you your dying howl..
