No Sizzlik, 'ass' is the american word for the english word (from all countries that speak english except America) 'arse'

#3, #6 actually, both "ass" and "arse" originated from England. the word "ass" originally had the meaning "donkey" (and still does) while "arse" had the meaning "buttocks".
the word "ass" actually became a variant of "arse" in England because of the non-rhotic nature of standard British English. "ass" was later adoptedby the united states.
