LOL yes I know what a chameleon is but their changing abilities aren't that extreme. They blend around their environment not one thing they are touching. This video is obviously fake.

#4 #5 What do you mean by NEVER HIDE and fake vids? If you see that once in say a documentary it must be wrong? I can agree that some of it is a little extreme, but nice entertainment! :O By the way, you must write chameleon. Please visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chameleon

if you say FAKE to a video the post will be deleted.. even if the video was FAKE... strange, maybe that one who deleted your post was sure that the video was real

#5 yeah... and one could wonder why the table has no effect on the chameleons skin?

Though there are octopusses that CAN change their "color" almost instantly. And THAT was really cool because the octopus could blend into its surroundings almost perfectly.

Very amazing creature it is indeed :)

I like their unusual looks and their capability to adopt to almost everything quickly. And their leg and their moves :D

I think it may be 'post-processed' but not sure... cameleons can change realy fast, however - as I saw before - their pattern fractions changing as one, not partly. It may differ between species though.

so many brain dead people thinking this is real ...ha ha ha ha ha ....a cameleon dose not change color if it touches something ...and if it touches it with it's right front leg...the color change dose not start from there ... a cameleon changes color an ALL of it's skin at THE SAME TIME !

and why is he not brown from touching the table ?

damn... too many people with a double digit IQ

Wikipedia is not a reliable source of information. You can't real know from where the info came from and who write it. There are a big load of intox, propaganda, myth and whatever in wikipedia. If you want to be taken seriously, refer to a real Encyclopedia or Dictionary, not a Internet page that any morrons can write on it.

I wonder if it's an automated process changing colors? U know like blinking is automated as well but can be consciously controlled.

#17 Most articles on wikipedia (at least most of the more scientifical ones) are very well referenced through as can be seen from the 'References' link.

If those are ok, it's a scientific article, wiki or no wiki

It is a common misconception that Chameleons change color due to their surroundings. They change color due to emotion.

Therefore you are all very wrong.

There was a chameleon in it? I thought it was a sunglass commercial.
1/2 - :(|)
Put a pair of clear sunglasses under it next time, then we can see inside of it - NO dissection needed!

Just wondering...what would happen if you put the chameleon on a mirror?
