Interesting skill. Love the huge set and an apparent total audience of 4 off stage left.

Our modern sense of useless talents include staring at the tv and computer and aiming at them while pressing buttons. Woo! go us! we can totally top this guy

to no 2 and 12
It's from the generation game TV show, the 4 in the 'audience' then compete and see who can do the act the best.
It was a great show...if you like that sort of thing!!

This is a very old routine probably pre-vaudeville. W.C. Fields was a famous juggler before he was in the movies and I believe he recorded it during the silent era. Anybody who saw the Ed Sullivan Show has probably also seen the act. I believe Fields has the record for the number of boxes juggled. I know I say it on tv in the early 50's. Fields started juggling in Atlantic City in 1893 and he was reputed he "could juggle or balance practically anything he could lift or carry; Fields unnerved his despised mother-in-law by keeping a lit cigar, a candle (in holder), or a beer bottle balanced atop his head at mealtimes, never seeming to notice its presence."
