This is Christianity gone bad.. where the religion is no longer a basis of faith and a community of praise, but people being preached utter BS because they themselves are so naive on what to believe is right, wrong, good or evil. Look at the people in the audience - they look completely brain washed. Anything that preach will yell out, they'll believe.
It isn't religion that is causing this - if it weren't religion, it'd be something else that'll unify people and become the grounds for brain washing.

i like watching anime, but i only know the most known series, and there are far more "demonic" animes, especially naruto (with a demon inside him, lol) and bleach. if he watched hellsing he'd wet his pants

Yeah, well too bad religious people alienate more people than they inspire. If you have much imagination you can see that the Pokemon are elements and forces. The kids who "fight" with them are learning to use forces. Physical forces, duh. There are values being taught.

What's funny is how seriously some of the people posting comments take this silliness.
Don't worry about this preacher. He will not take away your Pokemons. At the beginning he talks about his own son having Pokemons. Apparently he wants to warn people about what he thinks are "the dangers of Pokemon", but he's not willing to go as far as stopping his own son from having Pokemons if he wants them.
I think this man has some amusing opinions, but respects the rights of others to make their own choices.

When I look at the people in the audience I think they're daydreaming, bored, skeptical, or bemused, like most of the people in church on Sunday morning. I don't think they're any more brainwashed by this preacher than Barack Obama is after listening to the racist Rev. Jeremiah Wright for more than 20 years. But since I can't read their minds I guess I don't really know what's going on inside them. So I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and begin with the assumption that they are just as capable of evaluating this preacher's message as you and I are.

this guy doesn't know what he is talking about, he translated pokemon as "Pocket Monster", But it is a Japanese word by origin, written in english by phoenetics, the japanese to english proper translation is Pet Elfs, that's right, Elfs you stupid church dude, get your facts straight before converting others

The one thing I can't understand - how the omnipotent god has no money and sends his preachers here to collect it?

#3 I had a friend whos parents didnt let him read LOTR because it delt with magic etc. They were uber religous.
To use a loose metaphor, they were referees who learned the game by reading the rule book(blowing the whistle a little too often).
To clarify, Its easy to say "all magical things are bad", "simulated violence makes young people kill each other", or any rash statement based on speculation and semantics. Most of these opinions are formed after watching a single episode or even just reading the wiki page. People fear that which they dont know, and its easier to condemn something you are afraid of than get to know it better.

This preacher is a total jackass, it is people like this that taint peoples opinions of religion. So this guy thinks that by playing pokemon or even watching it you will not go to heaven ?!? I myself am a agnostic and when I hear zealots like this it just makes me dislike organized religion even more. I would like to think if there was a almighty God watching over the universe that they look upon a preacher like this and think to themselves (please people there are much more important issues, seek help)
