#10 Welcome to american "comedy".
You take a half funny idea(usually from another country) and really slowly and obviously go through all the funny situations possible from that idea. Then do it again a few times. Finally add the most terrible non-comedy script imaginable, the standard format is:
Person 1: Random statment that has nothing to do with anything but it sets up a joke.
Person 2: Joke
Laugh track
Person 1: Random sentence that has nothing to do with what we were just talking about, but it sets up another joke
Person 2: Joke
Laugh track
Person 1: Lose reference to what we are doing in this scene
Person 2: Pun
Laugh track
Person 3: Something to do with sex
Laugh track
Person 2: White noise
Person 1: Big Sex joke
extended laugh track while the actors stand around looking ateach other.
Person 1

Optional - Another sex reference followed by more laugh track)
All actors now stop what they are doing and move to their places for the next set of jokes. Move directly to your place without any attempt to explain why the character just stood up mid conversation, walked across the room and began a new conversation.

Watching american "comedy" gradually makes you retarded. If you find yourself laughing at the super-obvious puns or the relentless sex references(which usually arnt even jokes, just crap like "thats what she said!"

then you have hit the bottom.
