#5 They had some incredible projects : Al Burj for example, (or Nakheel Tower) with 1200m (with antenna)

#1 i think its good that they are building up, rather than spreading wide across open land, spreading throughout the land means destroying more habitat and causing biodiversity loss, so yea i think thats one of the reasons why
p.s. we need biodiversity to survive

At 1:32 it looks like the tower is tilting slightly. Man that is one awesome building.
Just you wait Dubai! Denmark will surpass you! when everyone else lives in space and we are the only ones left because our government spent all our money on green cars

to many new buildings, resturants and hotels and others not needed if you don't have the money to vacation, go out to eat or afford to drive your car because of gas prices , to me these kinda things are a waste of money when someone stated you could feed the hungry give them a place to stay free ,still have plenty left to build places with, but this is just another attraction for some nut to blow up,some things just don't make sense, people that is

what sux is realizing it is those high gas prices that paid for that high building.

#15, the workers that built the Burj Dubai were paid so little they were starving and remain in poverty today.
It's a beautifully brilliant architectual work of art and an amazing engineering feat, no doubt. Applause for the Dutch and the Brits both since it's they that created the Burj's concept but a big boo on the UAE for implementing slave labor to construct it.
Cool clip USAnumber1

ok so i want to add to this, they are actually building a mountain much higher then that, a friend of my family's is the guy that developed it. its going to be over 800 meters high and will bring the climent down for the whole country.
They are also putting a river in which will go into the center of the dessert.
the equipment has been ordered and the production has started. They are only about 50 meters high so far, but the first stage is quite a hard one, the whole thing will be attached to the rock under the sand.
