The cats were out of formation and the warthog has a huge charge bonus. In other words, tusk in the ass out of f-ing nowhere!

Warthogs are very, very dangerous and not to be played with. Their tusks are sharp and do quite the damage. I remember seeing a clip many years ago where a warthog ended up in a fight with a tiger. The warthog died after a few hours but so did the tiger. It was protecting its piglets, might have been more aggressive because of that.

Plus, a cheetah has to rely on its ability to run (eg. hunt) in order to survive. They're a very delicate animal and really can't afford any bruises or cuts on them, their livelihood depends on absolute physical fitness. The warthog on the other hand is a rugged animal, built for mauling. In this clip, the warthogs had the upper hand and they used it. I hope no cheetahs got hurt tho :)
