Cows need to milked twice a day, If they don't the pressure builds up and can be painful for them. So they do this.

I remember hearing about how cows won't survice if they arn't milked daily or something. Far from true if they can milk them selves :)

I don't know if you've ever lactated but... It's not a nice feeling to have boobs full of milk. They feel like they're going to explode. And then a baby cries and they start shooting out. It's no fun. I'm with you mama cow.
