I'd like to have him as a teacher...
Tells evidences that we so often hide to ourselves, but does it with humour. Like it.
Especially the "Brain failure" part

I don't know for sure if UFO's have been flown by alien visitors, however I think it is ignorant to use this dismissive tone in terms of there being intelligent life somewhere else in this VAST universe.
In my opinion--UFO's are definitely real because all it means is "unidentified flying object." The question is are they some sort of flying craft?
I think in some of the cases there probably were some flying craft. Who was flying them? Aliens or Governments? That I do not know at all.
Conclusion--I think UFO's exist, and I think there is a high likelihood of there being intelligent life somewhere else in this universe. I do not know if that life has flown UFO's to this planet though.

I believe in UFO's and so forth, as when you think of it, if we are the smartest creatures in all the universe, we are completly Screwed.
But this guy has a point. And he is totally correct. To proove anything these days you require much more then a photograph, or a home shot movie.
i enjoyed listening to this conversation.

recently i saw a UFO video on youtube, very intresting showing many ufo's in bright daylight flying around. this guy saw them and took some video's. he had commented inside the video about what he was gonna show and it was really intresting.
saw bright white dot's flying in the sky, stopping in mid air and changing directions and stuff...
the only thing which made the video crapy: the flying objects were 'flapping their wings' to fly around... aaaaaalmost as if it were birds under sunlight from a big distance... but hey to that (ignorant) guy: Unidentified flying objects...
BTW -> i do belive in ufo's visiting earth cause there is too much evidence over the whole world from every age you can imagine... even since cave drawings they were painting people on circle or triangle shapes coming from the sun ( when they ment god's and angles the people had wings and not sitting on shapes )

#8 almost everybody thinks that "there is a high likelihood of there being intelligent life somewhere else in this universe".

he delivers his point well and the video is interesting
that said, he doesn't include hard evidence that does exist of phenomenae that we don't understand AND that is scientifically quantified:
- radar signatures of UFOs from airport and military towers along with some pilot confirmation of these objects and their positions (this has long been supressed through gov't channels)
- crop circles that have measurable DNA changes in the plants, soil samples come back with magnetic particles, radiation in the formations etc
I'm not saying these are extra-terrestrial, just that science has not yet explained these things and yet they are proveable ...

Debunking:
"radar signatures of UFOs from airport and military towers": Most likely CIA spy planes flying over Europe on their way to the former USSR. (Those sightings have been reported in Belgium directly aligned with the flightpath of SR71 Blackbird from American bases in UK to Russia).
"Crop circles":
A bunch of "artists" in the UK (Doug Bower and Dave Chorley) have claimed responsibility and demonstrated their technique for making the crop circles. DNA change in plants have never been demonstrated. The crop circles outside UK are from copycats. That also explains the crop circle that reproduces a Led Zeppelin album cover
Soil samples in Europe do contain traces of magnetic particles (pollution), radiation (after Chernobyl) and various metals (most likely due to WW2).
It is ok to believe in aliens if it makes you happy, it is also ok to believe in Harry Potter

His name is Neil deGrasse Tyson.
Not Niel Tyson, Neal Tison, or Kneel Tighson.
The man is among the coolest dudes on earth right now. Let's at least get his name right.
Great clip. Saw it a while back. I'm a big fan. Cheers for spreading the word around about his teachings. Voted

@ #19 - "I'm not saying these are extra-terrestrial, just that science has not yet explained these things and yet they are proveable ..."
It's not a question of belief, but one of scientific measurement.
Obviously you aren't very informed about the phenomenae, but if ignorance makes you happy, it's also okay to believe in weapons of mass destruction

I really love the missunderstanding of "UFO" ..everybody really thinks of aliens when you say "I've seen an UFO"..but even a weather ballon can be an UFO..just like the guy said..because you dont know what it is..it is an Unidentified Flying Object...so calling it an UFO is perfectly legit.
