I guess it's easier to teach your cat to climb, but this is also a solution

The only and i mean only reason i could think this would be normal , is if the house / appartment is split with different people living in them and some tennants dont like cats or dont want to have cat flap in the house because there scared some one would use to break in so this person thought screw you my cat needs to go out and came up with this , and the cat aint fat but that was deffinitly its first or second time using it most cats after a while would just get used to it.

#11 That architecture is not anything typically found in North America. The balcony design, stucco, tile patio and tile roof are more European. Alpine maybe? If it was vinyl siding, pressure treated wood deck and asphalt shingle roofing, I'd agree with you.

Don't assume it is always Americans doing this like this......that is definitely a Bavarian style balcony. You'd don't see that type of architecture in America either.

I kinda agree w/#15, it should be european, and closer to poland, finland, eastern germany: the trail used for the liftin' box is made somewhere there, we all have seen it before in hamburg germany here on snotr, if i rem'ed correctly (small city of hamburg replica w/ toys and scaled model of houses, train, boats, airport). loved the cat, btw. max
