Woa pretty durable Umbrella.... but any kind of wind like that I would not want to be carrying something that could send me off like Marry Poppins or poke both my eyes out

Honestly... Nice umbrella with excellent build quality but if I get caught in a tornado I think I will die leaving my umbrella for someone else to pick up.... I don't want someone else to have my $100+ umbrella.

cool video, I never saw the complete test.
But why don't test till it broke?
and I believe it's not made by TU Delft, but by a few guys studying at the TU Delft (probably not anymore)
I got 3 of these now, 1 at home, 1 at work and 1 in the car I really don't want without. (55 euros at the TU Delft shop ;-) everywhere else "only 60". they simply hold out in any circumstance
Gerwin, Philip and Gerard: great job! please also post the jump from the airplain

#18 I was noticing the same thing. It was very impressive that the umbrella held up against 83 mph winds but it was not giving any protection is there was rain involved. The moral of this story is that if you are caught in 83 mph winds and rain, GET YOUR ASS INSIDE! Your expensive umbrella will not save you and you will still be wet!

"So, what do you do for a living?"
"Oh, I generally get beat about the head and chest by an umbrella."
"I see, that explains the bruises."

so boring, I expected the umbrella to wrap around that guy and smashing him into the wall or something...
