To sum it up: It happened in England when the woman driving the Renault Clio merged onto the highway. She quickly realized that the driver wasn't stopping ('cause he most likely wasn't paying attention) so she called the police saying she was gonna die. A few miles later the trucker finally pulled over onto the shoulder with the car still attached to the front of it. The woman was just fine due to wet road conditions which kept her car from gripping and flipping. I believe the trucker has been suspended while the company itself and the police investigate exactly how this happened.

#16 #2 #9 Stop the video at around 0:12 when the car is in the smaller window of the video car and the truck in the bigger window. You can see the truck driver. And you can see that he just can't see the car. And he probably isnt looking in front of his truck but a bit further along the road. Think about it. This was my opinion.
Still scary.

I can't explain how the car got there without the driver of the truck not knowing something had happened, but that part aside...
If you look at 0:11 you will see how far back the driver of the truck sits in the cab. This combined with the height of the truck and you have a very limited field of view immediately in front of the truck that would make the car invisible to the driver.
From the reports, the car failed to yield while merging with traffic and the initial collision was the fault of the car. But I cannot imagine how the truck driver didn't know something was wrong after the collision even though he couldn't see, he would have felt the impact.
I used to drive much larger and much more powerful trucks than this one, so I am speaking from 1st hand experience.

After watching the previous "car transformer" movie I'd say someone was in the mood to create a few special effects movies at once

Believe it or not no one recieves any formal training to drive on the motorway in UK. The common belief is that when your joining the traffic drivers in the left hand lane should move to the middle lane to make room for you - this is a politeness not a rule of the road. This mistaken belief and driver fatigue is probably what lead to this incident.
I have no idea what will happen to the truck driver but the car driver's own testimony will be used as evidence in her trial for driving without due care and attention or dangerous driving.
Largest vehicle I have driven had a bridge classification of 75tons with a 21ltr engine and yes you can feel nothing when you strike or get struck by a car.
