In france we have something called «giant apero» where people meet in the middle of the city and have a drink :) here is the one in Rennes : http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xcpy1o_apero-geant-a-rennes-25-mars-2010-t_news there is no organisation behind that it'as all thanks to some facebook groups.
