Sir David, it's been told so many times but when I think of nature documentaries I hear your voice!

1: How do they get this footage? It's almost like they set this all up like a movie haha.

2: Anyone know why the ants are caring for the caterpillars rather than eating them?

#2 It's like he says at the end. Ants cannot tell what is their eggs and what is other eggs. they treat them all as theirs. So the butterfly eggs get a safe place to grow, and the wasps get a safe place to grow too!

# 3 I would not have guessed it was sound that fools the ants , I would have thought it was a scent instead. Thanks for the link.

i was raising a tasty fork of pasta to my mouth, and in that exact moment this ich...whatever had to inject its eggs (oh, shit) into that slimy caterpillar (hhhhoooly shit). DON'T tell me about WONDERFUL MOTHER NATURE! god, that's disgusting.

It's all fake! It's just a time-lapsed colored chewing-gum animation that this gay old dude put together... 8-)

#17 you seem to know nothing about evolution. Only the bias things your preachers might have told you. God is dead and the sooner you realise that the sooner you can get on with your one and only life.

This sure is one of the most awesome parasites. I wish there were more insect videos on snotr

To think that all this is happening around us, and it's only very recently that we learned about it. I'd guess that we are merely scratching the surface of insect behaviour and that there are many more stunning discoveries to be made. There's a whole language of chemical signals to be decoded for a start.

In fact, just quite boring.
