My ex-housemate must have kept jungle ants in his socks judging by the amount of fungas growing out of them. Seriously though, the natural world is a freakingly awesome thing. I'd like to see an iPad manipulate biodiversity like those Cordyceps.

Can't this be used as an insecticide instead of using harmful chemicals?

Incredible that the ants figured out they had to move infected ants away from the nest.
Very late answer to #23. If you have ants in the house, try sprinkling talcum powder where they are. They hate it and it's worked for me many times, it's much better than putting down poison bait which can contain some really nasty chemicals.
