#5 becaue he was stuck to a cord wich is not attached to any motor to pull him back..only 2 sollutions..cut him off..and let him use his reserve chute (wich was already ripped of his backpack) or attach a new chute to the cord wich instantly come off.
They jump off and this cord pulls the chute..he almost got ripped of his complete gear..so..safty gear chute

f that happened to me, I'd probably have had to change my pants, afterward. It would be WAY better with sound...at least on the ground.

#1 - Not unconscious, imagine the force of the wind blowing on him??? and 1 of his arms was tangled up in the strings from what i saw at the beginning... but the reason he got stuck is notice the first jumper... that black thick line that pulls his parachute out is supposed to hook off of the guy and the 2nd jumper that hook got stuck on his pack... notice they show it at 2:10
Also notice how far away the first jumper's chute is from the soldier.... this shows some amazing quick ass improvising on the soldiers on the plane's part, they needed to attach another parachute to that line to save his life... the soldier hanging on the string from the plane could not tell wtf was going on because of all the wind hitting him so hard... I bet the couple seconds he started to fall he probably was thinking OMFG this is it... but his life was saved CLOSE ONE!

Person A: So, what are you doing?

I thought he was going to have to learn to run real fast when they landed the plane.

#1 Static parachuters use a breakaway system consisting of threads with a certain resistance or a device that breaks away when more than a certain force is applied to it.
The mistake in this scenario is either that the chute is not packed according to manual or the procedure by the soldier.
In the first case the mistake was that was made has something to do with the metal breakaway device. If you look closely at 2:11 you see a hoop around the device. This hoop is either not supposed to be thereor got a too though resistance.
In the second case it might be correctly packed, but the soldier did not jump long so ther was not enough force applied in this to the hoop and the device so the hoop did not break.
This has nothing to do with the soldiers skill, either a weak moment by the guys packing the chutes or a unlucky jump by the soldier.
