for many reasons, shaolin kung fu will NEVER be used in street fights.

Wahou, this man is trully amazing :D ! i love shaolin moves... it's amazing to see that nowadays! most of the time, we only know shaolin kung fu throught Hong Kong movies and many times with actors who don't even know shaolin kung fu, but only a few 'moves' ! Thanks for this vid' !... i'm gonna watch it again >:)

I'm not much of an expert, but this monk' keeps his gravity point lower than of his opponent, quite often; plus that he barely makes use of feet strikin' which are mostly allocated to stability and movement: both of which are deffinitely seen in Japan, and their traditional karate, the fudokan' school. ..otherwise, indeed I agree on that laughin': naive! #2 i think that this is the only video where a shaolin monk fights:

#10 the monks would be unbeatable. their whole life is training. they are made of stone :)

#11 - Agreed. People make uneducated conclusions based on what they watch on TV and in arenas, without actually knowing and doing the research on the subject.

Kung Fu, a lifetime of practice and discipline,

A Machine gun, instant success...

The only beef I have with martial arts is that it can't address a gun problem from 10 feet away.

It does bring the user self confidence, self control and discipline and for that I admire martial artists.

#(removed comment) guns are for sissies, just like the one in the guy messing at the club vid. But it's sissies like that that shoot and kill you. Having a gun doesn't make you any better. Since the invention of crossbows, they saw the destructive power and accuracy and easyness to use.
