#2 your not a cyclist you cycle a bike ...

#4 ya this is such shit the gov want you to be safe and good to the enviroment with all the technology they should make it compulsory to have either extended mirrors or a rear camera pointin back at the cab so they can see there dead zones

http://www.bikeradar.com/news/article/risk-to-cyclists-over-lorry-mirror-laws--12703

"New laws aimed at protecting cyclists from "death by lorry" will be ineffectual, say safety campaigners.

UK legislation currently being written will require HGVs to be fitted with larger mirrors aimed at removing blind spots from drivers' vision.

But lorries registered before the year 2000 will be exempt from the rules, which campaigners say will mean a third of vehicles on the road will not be required to fit the safety measures."

How retarded year 2000 shit .....

I hate cyclists
Always having to be careful not to touch them with my car or they will fall over and put a big law suit on me.
Why cant they get the bus?
Or walk

You can have the whole damn vehicle made entirely of mirrors but you might still have blind spots, but MUCH more importantly -- no amount of mirrors will save you from a bad driver who chooses not to USE his mirrors.

Any vehicle is only as dangerous as the guy driving it.

You are responsible for your own A$$, and ads like this drive that point home.

Yes the truck is responsible for looking out for you, but being in the "right" doesn't help when you are a grease stain on the roadway.
