Oil Companies have a lot of experience with and can drill for oil in shallow waters (Less than 1000 feet) very easily. Deep sea drilling is much riskier and very few companies will take the risk.

Unfortunately the US policy toward offshore drilling has forced oil companies to drill in the deeper and riskier waters, Instead of the shallower and safer areas.

This policy needs to change now or we will run out of oil, or face many more spills like this in the future.

Revelation 11.

15And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

16And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,

17Saying, We give thee thanks, O LORD God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.

18And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

19And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

I know it's a tough economy right now, but if he shops around and checks the flyers, I'm sure he can find a good deal on a comb.

#2 The accident could be avoided by installing an acoustic trigger that costs 500.000$ which is one seventh of 0.01% of BP total income from that rig so there are no excuses for greed.

I'm still trying to figure out what he is trying to explain about oil spills. Can someone post a link to where the oil is now?
I was given the impression it would be causing problems for years to come.
I don't see why people think this is as bad as the media is saying. This has been happening for years not just her but all over the world. If it were not for the media this would have just been another day in the Gulf, Well normal being the environmentalists that for some reason I have not found protesting.
