did you know that the crack of a whip is actually the whip end exceeding the speed of sound...

i bet he's had some painfull accidents learning to do that!

The fastest part of the whip is the end. This is what breaks the sound barrier. The part that hits the cigarettes on the top of his head is near his arm/handle of the whip, so its only going just faster than the swing of his arm. Other than that, hes just swinging the whip around, so sorry it's not that impressive.

That's cool but I remember episode of Time Warp on discovery about whips, and the fire thing was done a lot better (whip weren't put on fire). Actually i think it was the same guy, they way he did it though, was to use petrol(?) on the whips and just crack them. Because of the tip exceeding the speed of sound, petrol would set on fire, it looked like on this video at 1:42.

Not bad but I've seen street performers way better than him. He's nothing out of the ordinary.

Also the quality of the video is very poor, so it's hard to see the whip hitting the targets
