it may look basic but the man isn't restricted to his chair anymore so just think about how amazing that mist be for him! I can't wait to see what we have in ten years time.. suoersoldiers!!

Although this peice of kit makes this guys life alot easier it doesn't distract from the fact that this is a cumbersome bit of tech, if the government chose to fund this type of project, it could shrink it down to a manageable size and make "bionic legs" available to the public and ALL its war vets who need it.

Well, the problem is that the man was disabled from the waist down so the bionic legs had to do all the work. So, rather than having the bionic legs moves in a normal pace; it moves in a slower pace to provide support. However, it looks to me like supportive legs for people in rehabilitation though.

#2 Well in a fair world your insurance company should pay for it if you loose your leg as a result of a accident or a sickness thats the point of insurance only i think they will usually find a way out by saying you had a pre existing condition that made your legs fall off :P
