Why do someone just randomly film a highway?

#4 i sometimes randomly film while driving, sometimes intresting stuff happen. like last time: a cop cought me and gave me a fine of 160 euro's cause i was filming with my phone. in the netherlands ( where i live ) you are not allowed to have a phone in your hand while driving. even if it's turned off. even if it's broken. but it is legaly ok to have a 17" laptop with a builtin camera on your dashboard to film what ever you want. as long as it doesn't ring and vibrate

#13 It's not the tires that help you. The electricity arcs from the sky to the truck, the 1 foot between the truck and the ground is easy for the electricity to jump.

What is safe about vehicles is the metal that makes up the body which creates a faraday cage. In a faraday cage, the charge of the electricity from the lightning causes the charge of the conducting material that makes up the cage to redistribute it's electrical field and keeps the interior free of electrical charge and charges the exterior. So only things on the outside of the car can be electrified because the inside is protected by the faraday cage that is it's metal body.

Sorry to disappoint but the lightning strike is a fake and you all got fooled.

The lightning is a visual effect which is obvious by the sparks that originate and spread a good two feet above the roof of the truck where the lightning hits and it's a rather cheap effect too, quite like a sparkler and not like paint that burns and explodes off the surface (which wouldn't happen anyway in the first place). Additionally to that the maker of the video synched the sound of thunder to the hit of the lightning, which is just stupid.
