to summarize couple of recent vids, when i'm watching such time-lapses (lately), i can imagine huge meteo networkin and data processin pharm taking into account many indices such as soil temperatures and temperatures 20 feet above ground level (literally), just so to conclude supercomputers cannot reach a fourth-dimension personna, hence they lack in latencies (does it make any sense, i had one beer though:) btw, loved that previous faraday-cage hiperbola: a car is still considered territory and subject to requisition: two monkeys for that :(|) :(|)

#2 This view is shot using Depth of Field technique!

That's why it seems fake! ;)

Is it just me or do all of these timelapse vids have the same music track?

#12 : Well you know, every single photograph is shot using DoF technique. Without even you knowing what you're doing, you use it everytime. You take a snapshot with your cell-phone and DoF is infinite, using hyperfocal, etc...
The technique used for this video is clear tilt-shifting. He didn't use shifting, though. But he's using a tilt-capable lens (ultra-wide angle here, like the Canon TS-E 17mm) to achieve this effect :
