man that must be so awesome to watch.... and there was a rumble only at the end of this video... since it took about 40 seconds for them to hear it after the take off it means the shuttle was about 8 miles away.

Im from Sydney, and a while ago I was on a holiday in the states with the family, flying back from Orlando to LA during the day we saw a shuttle launch whilst in flight over near the horizon.. It was amazing. It blows your mind to see something actually on its journey into space.

last...light....
