#10 it's an eddie as #3 has aleady pointed out (to himself!?). A Maelstrom is a large swirling body of water, although this is swirling, it is neither large or a body of water.

Looks like a lot of you have never seen the plug pulled on the bathtub. If the ocean level is going down where you are, and it's not the tide... look for scuba divers who are pulling the plug on the ocean floor.

Notice how the fish just completely ignore it no freaking out not like our lot when it happens on land, just because their houses have blown away, think like a fish.
